The Interval

Monday evening. The sound of voices emerges from a dark glass pavilion. As I approach the window a bright light suddenly floods the inside of the pavilion. About 20 persons sit at a long table and are engaged in a lively debate. They must have been talking in the dark already as I approached. I continue my walk. I turn and look back. But the light has already faded and all is dark again.
